In addition to generating solar power, the family benefits from purchasing electricity at lower rates during off-peak periods at night and using stored energy throughout the day, further reducing costs and enhancing savings. This approach minimises electricity bills and contributes to a shorter payback period. In addition, this household now benefits from the Octopus Flux Export  tariff-15p per KWH exported, paid by their supplier Octopus Energy, enhancing their cost savings further and reducing the payback period. During an average summer month, this install allows for a £52.00 export back to the grid. To further benefit them, we have also set up the installation for island mode, allowing them to have a backup during power outages, which are common in their residential area.
